USG™ Plaster Bonder is a vinyl acetate homopolymer emulsion designed to provide a strong, durable bond between new plaster and any **structurally sound interior surface**. It ensures excellent adhesion and compatibility across a wide range of substrates, including:
- Gypsum plaster
- Concrete and cinder block
- Stone
- Gypsum drywall panels
- DUROCK® Cement Board
- FIBEROCK® Abuse-Resistant Gypsum Fiber Panels
When applied as a uniform continuous film using a brush, roller, or spray, the bonder dries quickly and will rewet when plaster is applied, forming a secure, integral bond. Once dry, surfaces may be plastered the same day or left unplastered for up to **10 days** without compromising performance.
USG Plaster Bonder should not be used around swimming pools, in highly humid environments, or on the underside of concrete roof decks. For decorative finish systems, only Clear Bonder is recommended, as the pink tint can show through.
